Discussion may include:

  1. Can individuals participate in your faith/philosophical practice without being part of a relevant ‘faith’ community? If so, is anything lost – for the individuals, and for the community?
  2. Can individuals be part of your ‘faith’ community without participating in the beliefs and/or practices of your ‘faith’ perspective?
  3. What does an individual do to be part of this community?
  4. What does the community do for the individual?

‘Faith’ Communities as Part of the Wider Community

Discussion may include:

  1. In what ways does sharing in your ‘faith’ discourage, encourage or necessitate participation in wider society?
  2. Do people from your ‘faith’ community engage with wider society as individuals or are there ways in which the faith community as a whole is involved?
  3. In what ways does wider society support your ‘faith’ and ‘faith’ community?

 

November:

‘Faith’ Communities and Communicating with Others

Discussion may include:

  1. What is most valuable about listening to others communicating/talking about their ‘faith’?
  2. What are the 3 most essential points about your ‘faith’?
  3. What are the essential technical terms in your ‘faith’ and how can they be easily explained?
  4. What part do art, drama, food, music, and other activities play in expressing what is essential about your ‘faith’?
  5. What do you expect of others when you are communicating/talking about your faith?
